The Lady Trojans scored three runs in the first inning and added two in the second for a 5-0 lead. After a scoreless third, Logsdon led off the top of the fourth inning with a solo shot to centerfield. 

Troy answered with a run in the bottom of the fourth and took a 7-1 lead with a run in the fifth.

Wellsboro scored their second run in the sixth when Ady Frantz walked and eventually stole home, and Troy plated six runs in the bottom of the sixth to end the game early.

Teagan Novinger had a single and Harleigh Cleveland had a double for Wellsboro’s remaining two hits.

Frantz went the distance for the Hornets, allowing 13 runs (11 earned) on 11 hits and four walks with six strikeouts.

Wellsboro (0-2) is scheduled to return to action Tuesday when they host Athens.
