HIGH SCHOOL SOFTBALL: BOOTH NO-HITTER, 17 HITS LIFT MOUNTIES TO LOPSIDED WIN OVER HUGHESVILLE (2025-03-22)

HUGHESVILLE — Elyna Booth threw a no-hitter and North Penn-Liberty pounded out 17 base hits as the Mounties ran their record to 3-0 to start the season with an 18-0 thumping of the host Hughesville Lady Spartans Saturday.

Booth threw all five innings and allowed just two Hughesville base runners .. one on a walk and one on a Mountie error .. with neither advancing past second base. The junior hurler struck out nine Hughesville batters.

Seven Lady Mounties had a multi-hit game, as Maddie Smith, Haley Litzelman and Claire Dominick each had three on the day and Gabby Parsons, Booth, Elaina Shaw and Addie Smith each had two hits. 

Maddie Smith added three stolen bases and four runs scored, Litzelman had five RBI and three runs scored and Dominick had three RBI and scored once. 

Parsons had an RBI and scored two runs, Booth and Shaw each had two RBI and Addie Smith had an RBI and scored four runs. 

Kameron Lightner had an RBI and a run scored while Maddie McNamara and Haylee Aumick each scored a run. 

North Penn-Liberty (3-0) is scheduled to return to action Tuesday at Towanda.
