HIGH SCHOOL SOFTBALL: WILLIAMSON ROLLS OVER NORTHERN POTTER, 16-2 (2025-03-22)

LAWRENCEVILLE — Williamson moved to 2-0 on the young softball season here Saturday, rolling to a 16-2 win over the visiting Northern Potter Lady Panthers. 

After giving up a first-inning run to Northern Potter, the Lady Warriors answered with three runs in the bottom half, sparked by a home run by leadoff hitter Olivia Gee and singles from Lexi Smalley, Aubrey Roe and Kaegan Short. 

Gee, Smalley and Short all finished with two base hits, with Smalley adding a double, as Gee collected two RBI and three runs scored, Smalley had three RBI and four runs scored and Short had three RBI and scored two runs. 

Williamson scored seven runs in the second inning, two in the third and four in the fourth on their way to the lopsided win. 

Joelie Stephens had a double, two runs scored and an RBI, Roe had a hit, an RBI and a run scored, Savanna Dean had a hit and two runs scored, Laila Hackett had a hit and an RBI and Kenna Thomas and Makayla Heichel each scored a run.

Thomas earned the win for the Lady Warriors, going three innings and allowing two earned runs on four hits with three strikeouts. Gee finished in the circle, going two innings and allowing one hit with two K’s. 

Williamson (2-0) is scheduled to visit Sayre on Tuesday.
