NTL BASEBALL: TIGERS CRUISE TO 10-1 WIN AT TOWANDA (2025-03-25)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportTOWANDA — North Penn-Mansfield got a strong outing from pitcher Cooper Shaw and had five batters with multiple hits as the Tigers rolled to a 10-1 win over Towanda in an NTL large school match-up Tuesday.
Shaw went five innings and allowed a lone earned run, scattering five Black Knight hits, walking two and striking out five. Andy Hermansen threw one and two-thirds innings in relief and gave up one hit and two walks with one K and Easton Pequignot came in and struck out the final Towanda batter.
The Tigers scored three runs in each of the first, second and fourth innings and tacked on a run in the sixth to provide the final.
Alex Davis and Shaw each had three base hits with Davis adding an RBI, two runs scored and two stolen bases and Shaw scoring twice.
Jermansen had a pair of hits, with a double, and added two runs scored and an RBI, while Pequignot had two hits and Liam Shaut had two hits, two RBI and scored a run.
Jason Harer had a hit and an RBI, Cameron Caldwell had two runs scored and two stolen bases, Riley Oakes scored a run and Noah Musser had an RBI.
North Penn-Mansfield (3-0) is scheduled to next play on Thursday at Troy.
