NTWSR 2024-'25 ALL-TIOGA COUNTY GIRLS BASKETBALL (2025-03-27)

Northern Tier WEST Sports Report
TIOGA COUNTY, PA — Despite less-than-stellar results among the West’s girls’ basketball teams this season, there were a number of outstanding performances put forth by players .. including the All-Tioga County Girls Basketball ‘Player of the Year’, North Penn-Liberty junior Haley Litzelman.

Litzelman averaged a double-double of 16.2 points and 11.9 rebounds per game for the 9-14 Lady Mounties, reaching double digits in both points and boards 13 times and recording a triple-double twice. She hit 42 threes on the year, shot 65% from the free throw line and averaged 4 assists, 4.1 steals and 1.8 blocked shots per outing. The junior eclipsed the 500 career rebound milestone during the season and will enter her senior season with 675 boards and just 116 points away from her 1,000th.

Wellsboro senior guard Chloe Brandenburg repeats this season as the ‘Offensive Player of the Year’ after scoring 14 points per game with 47 three-pointers and shooting 72% from the line for the 6-15 Lady Hornets. The Houghton College commit added 2.2 assists, 4.9 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game while being the opposing defense’s main focus all season.

Also a repeat from last season, Williamson’s duo of senior Olivia Meisner and junior Kenna Thomas share recognition as ‘Co-Defensive Players of the Year’.

Meisner, a Mansfield University commit, averaged 7.7 rebounds (99 defensive) and 1.7 steals per game while blocking 45 shots, adding 10.4 points and 1.3 assists per game.

Thomas grabbed 8.7 rebounds (102 defensive) and had 1.2 steals per game with 60 blocks. She scored 9.4 points a game with 21 three-pointers and shot 62% from the free throw line.

The ‘Newcomer of the Year’ is North Penn-Mansfield freshman Maddie McNamara, who burst onto the varsity scene with a 20-point night in the Lady Tigers’ season opener. She went on to average 10.5 points and 3 steals per game running point for 8-14 Mansfield.
