NTL BASEBALL: COWANESQUE VALLEY 10-RUNS WILLIAMSON TO STAY UNBEATEN (2025-03-28)

WESTFIELD — The host Indians used a big second inning to pull away for a 12-2 win over Williamson in NTL small school baseball action here Friday.

CV scored one run in the first inning, eight in the second, two in the third and one in the fourth inning, while Williamson plated their two runs in the top of the third.

Lucas Hamilton and Logan Stickler each had two base hits with a double with Hamilton adding an RBI and two runs scored and Stickler driving in three runs and scoring once. 

Levi Stahli had a double, two RBI and a run scored and Dave Hess had a triple, an RBI and scored once. Brody Bruce had a hit and a run scored and Hunter Simonds and William Kies each scored a run.

Danny Smith earned the win for CV, starting on the mound and going two and two-third innings and allowing two earned runs on three hits and four walks with three strikeouts. Stickler finished the game, throwing an inning and a third with a walk and three K’s.

Sawyer Carleton took the loss for Williamson, throwing three and a third innings and allowing 12 runs (5 earned) on seven base hits and five walks with three strikeouts. Maddox Hartman pitched the final two-thirds of an inning with a walk and a strikeout.

Carleton had a double and two RBI for the Warriors while Jack Nolan and Kohen Flynn each had a hit and scored a run.

CV stays unbeaten with the win at 3-0 and is scheduled to play at Sayre on Tuesday while Williamson, now 1-2, host Canton on Tuesday.
