NTL SOFTBALL: COWANESQUE VALLEY FALLS TO WYALUSING (2025-04-09)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportWYALUSING — Cowanesque Valley scored the game’s first run but was shut down the rest of the way and lost to the host Wyalusing Lady Rams 5-1 in NTL softball action here Wednesday.
CV had four base hits in the game .. three by Zeraya Wilson, including a leadoff single in the first inning. After reaching third, Wilson was brought in by Raegan Watson’s sacrifice fly to give the Lady Indians a 1-0 lead.
Wyalusing scored two runs in the bottom of the first, added a run in the second inning and scored their final two in the fifth.
Arianna Cary had CV’s remaining base hit.
Lilah LaBarron took the loss, throwing all six innings and allowing five runs (3 earned) on nine base hits and six walks with seven strikeouts.
Now 3-3 on the season, Cowanesque Valley is scheduled to host Wellsboro on Thursday.
