NTL TRACK & FIELD: NORTH PENN-MANSFIELD BOYS EARN TWO WINS AT TRI-MEET, GIRLS 0-2 (2025-04-15)

CANTON — The North Penn-Mansfield Track & Field teams competed at a tri-meet Tuesday where the boys went 2-0 and the Lady Tigers fell to both Northeast Bradford and to the host Canton Warriors. 

The boys scored 87 points to top both Canton (46) and Northeast Bradford (44).

Luke Kreger was a three-time winner, taking first place in the 100m dash (11.84), high jump (6-3) and as a part of the 4x100m relay (47.74).

Two-time winners included Colton Pellett in the 200m dash (24.94) and on the 4x100 relay, Michael Knefley in the 1600m run (4:59.20) and the 3200m (10:50.60) and Brody Grinnell in the javelin (114-0) and on the 4x100.

Layne Cummings was the remaining member of the winning 4x100m relay team while other event winners were Tayton Strange in the long jump (18-6) and Brady Stetter in the 300m hurdles (47.64).

In the 100m, Sudan Benner was second (11.94) and Brayden Johnson was third (12.34) while Cedric Miller (25.04) was second in the 200m and Johnson was third (25.34).

Miller was second in the 400m (55.94), Mason Forer was fourth in the 800m (2:28.40) and third in the 1600m (5:15.90), Isaiah VanLoon was fourth in the 3200m (12:32.40) and in the 110m hurdles, Stetter was second (19.64) and Truman Loudenslager was fourth (20.84).

Pellett was second (6-0) in the high jump with Strange third (6-0), Johnson was second (17-11) in the long jump with Stetter third (16-9), Loudenslager was second in the triple jump (34-11.75) and Stetter was second (35-9) in the shot put with Landon House taking third (35-8.5).

The Lady Tigers scored 52 points, behind both Northeast Bradford (63) and Canton (60).

Event winners were Anna Kennedy in the 100m dash (13.44), Jaci Fairchild in the 1600m (6:13.50), Nora Furry in the high jump (4-6), Madilynn Scott in the triple jump (32-3.25) and the 4x100m relay team of Scott, Kennedy, Gabby Bubeck and Carolyn Cherwinski (54.14).

Kennedy was second in the 200m (28.64) while Bubeck was third in both the 100m (13.94) and the 200m (29.44). 

Maryn McCarthy was second in the 400m (1:10.34), Fairchild was second (2:49.60) in the 800m with Alivia Lisowski third (2:59.50) and Furry was second in the 300m hurdles (55.94), third in the triple jump (29-8.5) and fourth in the 100m hurdles (19.04). 

Moira Wheeler was third in the high jump (4-4), Cherwinski was fourth in the long jump (13-6) and Iris Irwin was fourth in the discus (73.5).
