NTL SOFTBALL: WELLSBORO FALLS TO TOWANDA (2025-05-01)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportTOWANDA — Wellsboro fell victim to a 2-hit shutout by Towanda here Thursday, losing 10-0 to the Lady Black Knights.
Ady Frantz and Kaylee Frazier had Wellsboro’s hits, while Frantz took the loss, going five and two-third innings and allowing 10 runs (9 earned) on seven base hits and 15 walks with eight strikeouts.
Towanda kept Wellsboro off the scoreboard and plated two runs in each of the second and third innings, a run in the fifth and their final five in the sixth to end the game early.
The Hornets (4-8) are scheduled to visit Athens Friday.
