HIGH SCHOOL TRACK & FIELD: NP-MANSFIELD BOYS WIN COUDERSPORT INVITATIONAL TITLE (2025-05-02)

COUDERSPORT — North Penn-Mansfield won the boys’ team title at the Coudersport Invitational on Friday while the Lady Tigers placed 8th.

The boys won with 84 points, helped by first place finishes in both the 4x800m (8:56.90) and the 4x400m relays (3:38.62).

In the 800m run, Michael Knefley was 2nd (2:03.18) while Peter Bishop was 3rd (2:10.08) and Braden VanLoon was 4th (2:10.18), Sudan Benner was 2nd in the 400m (52.65) and Cedric Miller was 5th (55.40) and Benner was 3rd in the 200m dash (24.16) with Brayden Johnson taking 4th (24.23).

Brady Stetter was 5th in the 300m hurdles (45.69) and 6th in the long jump (18-6.50), where Tayton Strange placed 4th (18-11) and Brayden Johnson was 5th (18-10). 

Luke Kreger placed 2nd in the high jump (5-10) with Colton Pellett taking 3rd (5-8), Brody Grinnell placed 5th in the javelin (131-2) and Landon House was 6th in the shot put (35-7.50).

On the girls’ side, North Penn-Mansfield scored 25 points to place 8th. Williamson won the girls’ team title (99) with Wellsboro taking 2nd (75).

The 4x400m (4:28.74) and 4x800m (11:49.87) relay teams each placed 3rd, Anna Kennedy was 4th in the 100m dash (13.44), Maryn McCarthy was 4th in the 400 (1:06.40), Nora Furry finished 4th in the high jump (4-4) and Jaci Fairchild was 6th in the 800m run (2:34.51).
