NTWSR PRESENTS THE LAUREL HEALTH 'ATHLETES OF THE WEEK' (May 5, 2025)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportTIOGA COUNTY — The NT West Sports Report / Laurel Health ‘Athletes of the Week’ are Wellsboro baseball’s Coen Tennis and Williamson Track & Field athlete Madalynn Bailey.
Tennis, a sophomore, had two base hits and caught teammate Max Mascho’s one-hit shutout in the Hornets’ 1-0 win over Towanda, then collected three hits .. with a double .. and added three RBI and a run scored as Wellsboro was edged by South Williamsport, 5-4.
Bailey started the week by helping Williamson to a 98-47 win over Northeast Bradford by winning both the 800m run (2:23.18) and the long jump (17-0.50) then helped the Lady Warriors to a team title at the Coudersport Invite, winning the 400m (1:09.0) and the long jump (15-06).
