HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL: TIGERS EARN NON-LEAGUE, 10-RUN WIN OVER ADDISON (NY) (2025-05-10)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportMANSFIELD — Addison rallied to tie the game in the fourth inning but North Penn-Mansfield used a pair of six run innings to pull away from the visiting Knights for a 19-9, five-inning win here Saturday afternoon.
The Tigers scored a run in the first inning and had their first of three, six run innings in the second to take a 7-0 lead into the fourth. Addison tied it up in the top half before Mansfield scored six runs in the bottom half to take a 13-7 lead.
The Knights plated a pair of runs in the fifth to cut the lead to 13-9 before the Tigers finished the win off with six runs to end the game early.
Cooper Shaw and Liam Shaut finished with three base hits each while Alex Davis, Andy Hermansen, Jason Harer and Noah Musser had two hits apiece and Easton Pequignot had one.
Davis scored four runs, Shaw, Shaut, Riley Oakes, Harer, Musser and Brady Bower each scored twice and Hermansen, Pequignot and Isaac Sparks all scored once.
Hermansen started and lasted three innings, allowing seven runs (4 earned) on four hits with four strikeouts. Sparks threw the final two innings, giving up two unearned runs on two hits to earn his first varsity win.
The Tigers (11-5) are scheduled to host non-league South Williamsport for a make-up game on Monday.
