NTL SOFTBALL: NORTH PENN-LIBERTY DOWNS NORTHEAST BRADFORD (2025-05-12)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportMANSFIELD — Timely hitting and solid defense helped North Penn-Liberty and pitcher Elyna Booth earn a three-hit, 3-0 win over Northeast Bradford here Monday.
The Lady Mounties broke a scoreless tie in the bottom of the third inning when Haley Litzelman singled, Addie Smith walked and Elaina Shaw delivered the sacrifice to score Litzelman. Kaylee Graham followed with a single that scored Smith and Liberty led 2-0.
In the fourth, Kameron Lightner singled and Ava Giles drove pinch runner Keeha Rieppel home with a double to put the Mounties up 3-0.
Booth walked three and struck out five over her seven innings of work. Her Mountie teammates played nearly flawless defense behind the junior hurler, recording 15 putouts in the win, including on 10 grounders induced by Booth.
Lightner finished with two base hits, while Giles (2b, 1 rbi), Claire Dominick, Graham (1 rbi) and Litzelman (1 run) had one hit each, Shaw had an RBI and Addie Smith scored a run.
The Mounties (12-3) are scheduled to return to action on Wednesday with a trip to take on Williamson.
