Marek Mascho (3 hits, 2b, 4 rbi, 3 runs) and Alec Magli (2 hits, 2b, 2 rbi, 2 runs) led Wellsboro at the plate while Gabe Sprouse threw a four inning shutout, allowing two Williamson hits with one walk and four strikeouts. 

The Hornets scored a run in the first inning before their big second frame and added three runs in each of the third and fourth innings. 

Sprouse (3 runs), Gabe Cuneo (1 rbi, 1 run, 2 bb) and Max Mascho (2 rbi) each had a base hit while Dustin Owlett walked three times and scored twice and Coen Tennis, Cameron Owlett and Ryder Bowen each scored once. 

Christian Ling and Owen Cilino had Williamson’s base hits. The Warriors used four pitchers in the loss .. Kohen Flynn started and lasted one and a third innings, allowing nine runs (2 earned) on four hits and four walks, Cilino threw an inning, giving up three runs (2 earned) on two hits and two walks, Harlow Little went a third of an inning and allowed three earned runs on two hits and two walks and Jack Nolan threw a third of an inning and walked three.

Williamson falls to 3-10 with the loss. They’re scheduled to host North Penn-Mansfield on Wednesday.

Wellsboro’s 10-9 record with one scheduled regular season game remaining .. Tuesday against Addison (NY) .. guarantees the Hornets of a spot in the 3A playoffs, where they are currently the #7 seed.
