NTL TRACK & FIELD: NP-MANSFIELD'S KREGER COMPETES ON FIRST DAY OF STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS (2025-05-23)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportSHIPPENSBURG — North Penn-Mansfield’s Luke Kreger 'no-heighted' in the high jump at the PIAA Track and Field Championships on Friday.
The opening height was 5-feet, 10-inches and all of Kreger’s three tries came up just short of getting over the bar.
One fourth of the Class 2A boys' high jump field of 28 jumpers failed to clear the opening height, while the winner cleared 6-feet, 6-inches and fellow NTL jumper Dylan Johns from Wyalusing cleared 6-03 and placed sixth.
Kreger was the lone Tiger who qualified for the State Championships .. after placing 2nd at Districts .. and the juniors' performance marks the end of North Penn-Mansfield's season.
