Alfred won just one game as they returned as a varsity sport in 2024, and Brought was named a team captain for this season after being selected to the All-Empire 8 Third Team as a freshman. He led the team in hits (28), doubles (9), total bases (37) and batting average (.283) in 2024.

Brought started the ’25 season off strong, batting .455 (5-11) with a double, two RBI and three runs scored in Ihe Saxons’ first three games of the year. But a hamstring injury suffered on Alfred’s season-opening road trip in Florida hampered Brought’s effectiveness throughout the year and he’d finish with a .158 batting average with seven RBI and nine runs scored for the 4-32 Saxons. 

With two years of eligibility remaining, Brought will be looking forward to returning to the Saxons’ everyday lineup in ’26 as Alfred continues to build their young program.
