Davis put up video game-like numbers at the plate for the 13-win Tigers .. batting .516 and getting on base at a .580 clip with 33 base hits, including four home runs and seven doubles, 34 RBI, 37 runs scored and 22 stolen bases while drawing 12 walks. The Penn State Harrisburg commit was stellar on the mound as well, compiling a 5-1 record and a 1.73 ERA over 29 innings of work with 31 strikeouts. Davis was recently named as a first team infielder on the PA Baseball Coaches 3A All-State team.

Cowanesque Valley enjoyed a historic season, winning the NTL small school title and the Indians’ first ever District 4 Class A championship. The All-Tioga County Baseball Coach of the Year is CV skipper Jamie St. Peter. 

Leading the way for the Indians was CV’s lone senior on the roster, Loagan Stickler, who is the All-Tioga County Offensive Player of the Year. The future York College Spartan hit .453 with a .532 OBP, 29 base hits .. including three home runs, two triples and seven doubles .. 25 RBI, 24 runs scored, 12 walks and 20 stolen bases. Before suffering late season arm issues, Stickler threw 20 innings for the Indians and went 3-0 with 38 strikeouts and a 2.41 ERA.

Stickler’s CV teammate, junior Ayren Morgan, is the All-Tioga County Pitcher of the Year after going 6-1 for the Indians in 38 innings of work with 44 K’s and a 1.12 ERA while holding opposing batters to a .224 batting average. Morgan also got it done at the plate for CV, hitting .397 with a .538 OBP, 23 hits, 13 RBI, 21 runs scored and 12 stolen bases.

The All-Tioga County Defensive Player of the Year is Wellsboro catcher Coen Tennis. A sophomore, Tennis handled a pitching staff of eight different hurlers throughout the season while committing just a single error all year. At the plate, he had 23 base hits and hit .371 with a .487 OBP, 24 RBI, 19 runs scored and eight walks. 

Wellsboro freshman second baseman Gabe Cuneo is the Newcomer of the Year after helping the 11-10 Hornets to a playoff berth with 16 base hits, 11 RBI and 17 runs scored while hitting .314 and drawing 15 walks for a .464 on-base-percentage. 

Joining Davis, Stickler, Morgan and Tennis on the All-Tioga County Baseball First Team are CV’s Lucas Hamilton and Dave Hess, North Penn-Mansfield’s Cooper Shaw, Jason Harer, Easton Pequignot and Andy Hermansen and Wellsboro’s Marek Mascho. 

Cuneo leads the Second Team and is joined by Wellsboro teammates Alec Magli, Ryder Bowen, Max Mascho and Gabe Sprouse, CV’s Hunter Simonds and Levi Stahli, Williamson’s Sawyer Carleton and Kohen Flynn and North Penn-Mansfield’s Riley Oakes and Liam Shaut.
