ALL-TIOGA COUNTY 'SUPER 7' FEMALE NEWCOMERS OF THE SPRING (2025-06-30)

TIOGA COUNTY — Northern Tier West Sports Report presents the All-Tioga County ‘Super 7’ Female Newcomers of the Spring list .. led by North Penn-Liberty junior softball player Elyna Booth. 

Booth threw 113 innings in her first season for North Penn-Liberty, compiling an 11-5 record with a 1.24 ERA and 182 strikeouts and holding opposing hitters to a .161 batting average. The All-Tioga County Pitcher of the Year added 14 base hits, seven RBI, a .259 batting average and a .355 OBP from the plate and is also the Softball Newcomer of the Year.

The remainder of the ’Super 7’ list is:

Adelyn Frantz, Wellsboro softball, fr. .. hit .379 with a .471 OBP. Had 22 base hits with 5 doubles, four HR, 8 RBI, 17 runs scored, 10 walks and 8 stolen bases. On the mound went 4-11 with 95 innings pitched, 133 strikeouts and a 6.06 ERA.

Maddie Smith, NP-Liberty softball, so. .. the Mounties’ catcher hit .373 with a .419 OBP. Had 25 base hits with 2 doubles and 4 triples, 10 RBI, 21 runs scored and 19 stolen bases.

Isla Twoey, Wellsboro T&F, fr. .. The All-Tioga County Girls T&F Newcomer of the Year, Twoey won two District medals .. 5th in the triple jump and 7th in the 300m hurdles .. and was on Wellsboro’s 4x400m relay team that took 10th.

Claire Dominick, NP-Liberty softball, so. .. the Lady Mounties’ shortstop hit .267 and had a .353 OBP with 16 base hits including 3 doubles with 19 RBI, 7 runs scored, 5 walks and 4 stolen bases.

Natalie Yonker, Williamson T&F, fr. .. finished 6th in the league in both the 1600m and 3200m runs, earned a 4th place medal in the 3200m at Districts and finished 7th in the 1600m.

Teagan Novinger, Wellsboro softball, fr. .. the Lady Hornets’ catcher hit .327 with a .387 OBP and had 18 base hits, including 3 HR, 17 RBI, 8 runs scored and 5 walks.
