ALL-TIOGA COUNTY 'SUPER 7' MALE NEWCOMERS OF THE SPRING (2025-06-30)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportTIOGA COUNTY — Northern Tier West Sports Report presents the All-Tioga County ‘Super 7’ Male Newcomers of the Spring list .. led by North Penn-Mansfield freshman Track & Field athlete Sudan Benner.
Benner is the Track AOTY as well as the Newcomer of the Year on our All-Tioga County Track & Field team after earning a 6th-place medal at Districts and a 2nd-place finish at the NTL meet in the 400m and placing 4th in the NTL in the 200m dash.
The remainder of the ’Super 7’ list is:
Gabe Cuneo, Wellsboro baseball, freshman .. is the All-Tioga County Baseball Newcomer of the Year after helping the 11-10 Hornets to a playoff berth with 16 base hits, 11 RBI and 17 runs scored while hitting .314 and drawing 15 walks for a .464 on-base-percentage.
Mason Brill, Wellsboro tennis, so. .. Brill was the All-Tioga County Newcomer and Player of the Year and went 14-1 as Wellsboro’s No. 3 singles player as the Hornets went 6-0 in the league and 11-6 overall.
Kohen Flynn, Williamson baseball, fr. .. .289 BA, .431 OBP, 13 H, 2 2b, 6 RBI, 16 R, 10 BB, 21 SB; Pitching .. 2-4, 5.79 ERA, 29 IP, 35 K
Noah Musser, NP-Mansfield baseball, fr. .. .282 BA, .400 OBP, 11 base hits, 13 RBI, 15 runs scored, 8 BB
Brody Grinnell, NP-Mansfield T&F, so. .. Placed second in the NTL in the javelin while also contributing to the Tigers on the track.
R.J. Doughtie, Wellsboro tennis, fr. .. went 5-1 in singles matches for the NTL champion Hornets while also going 5-5 in doubles matches.
