'25 ALL-TIOGA COUNTY 'SUPER 7' FEMALE ATHLETES OF THE SPRING (2025-07-01)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportTIOGA COUNTY — The All-Tioga County ‘Super 7’ Female Athletes of the Spring list is led by Wellsboro sophomore sprinter Piper Hoprich.
The All-Tioga County Girls Track Athlete of the Year, Hoprich repeated as the District IV champ in both the 100m and 200m dashes. The sophomore won both events at the NTL meet and improved on her 3rd and 4th-place State medals from a year ago by taking 2nd in the 100m and 3rd in the 200m at the PIAA Championships this year. Hoprich was also a member of the most successful relay team in the West, helping Wellsboro’s 4x800m squad to a 1st-place finish at the NTL meet, a 2nd-place medal at Districts and a 27th-place finish at States, as well as the 4x400m relay which placed 3rd at the NTL meet and 10th at Districts.

Haley Litzelman, NP-Liberty softball, jr. .. the All-Tioga County Softball Player of the Year collected 26 base hits .. including eight doubles and a triple .. while batting .413 with a .464 on-base-percentage, 15 RBI, 16 runs scored and six stolen bases. Litzelman also proved to be a versatile asset defensively for 14-4 Liberty, playing numerous positions in the field and going 2-0 from the circle.
Lauren Kosek, Wellsboro T&F, so. .. was named the All-Tioga County Distance Track Athlete of the Year after qualifying for States in both the 1600m and 3200m runs and earning a PIAA bronze medal in the 3200m. The sophomore finished 1st in the NTL and 2nd at Districts in the 3200m, 3rd at the NTL meet, 4th at Districts and 11th at States in the 1600m, 3rd in the NTL and 11th at Districts in the 800m and was on the Lady Hornets’ 4x400m relay squad that took 3rd at the NTL meet and 10th at Districts.
Madalynn Bailey, Williamson T&F, jr. .. won a pair of District medals .. placing 3rd in the long jump and 4th in the 800m and is the T&F Athlete of the Year.
Kaegan Short, Williamson softball, sr. .. the All-Tioga County Softball Offensive Player of the Year hit .439 with 25 base hits (4 doubles), 12 RBI, 24 runs scored and a .542 OBP with nine walks and was hit by a pitch five times.
Elyna Booth, NP-Liberty softball, jr. .. In her first season of varsity softball, Booth threw 113 innings for North Penn-Liberty, compiling an 11-5 record with a 1.24 ERA and 182 strikeouts and holding opposing hitters to a .161 batting average. The All-Tioga County Pitcher of the Year added 14 base hits, seven RBI, a .259 batting average and a .355 OBP from the plate and is also the Softball Newcomer of the Year.
Paige Logsdon, Wellsboro softball, sr. .. hit .440 with a .533 on-base-percentage with 22 base hits, 5 doubles, a triple and 2 home runs, 9 RBI, 13 runs scored, 10 walks and 5 stolen bases. Went 2-2 from the circle in 19 innings of work with 18 strikeouts and a 5.21 ERA.
