Northern Tier West Sports ReportTIOGA COUNTY — As we are just days away from the start of the 2025 Fall sports season, let’s take a final look back at the Top 20 highlights of the 2024-’25 sports year here in the West.
No. 7
Aiden O’Neil Earns State Pole Vault Medal
The Williamson senior cleared 14’ at Districts to finish 3rd and qualify for the State Championships, where he tied for 8th place (13’).
No. 6
Lauren Kosek (XC)
Kosek followed up her runner-up finish at Districts (18:21.20) with a 6th place medal at States (19:12) .. where the Wellsboro sophomore was the highest finisher from District 4.
No. 5
Lauren Kosek (T&F)
After collecting a 2nd place medal in the 3200m (10:59.38), a 4th place medal in the 1600m (5:09.04), a 10th place finish in the 4x400m relay and an 11th place finish in the 800m (2:29.35) at the District 4 Championships, Kosek brought home State hardware for the Lady Hornets in the 3200m, placing 3rd (10:45.51), and finished 11th in the 1600m (5:09.66).
