NTL GOLF: COWANESQUE VALLEY OPENS LEAGUE PLAY WITH 5TH PLACE FINISH AT TOWANDA (2025-08-11)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportTOWANDA — The Cowanesque Valley golf team opened the 2025 golf season at Towanda Country Club on Monday, placing 5th to go 3-4.
The Indians shot a 387, behind Towanda (323), Wellsboro (355), Athens (358) and North Penn-Mansfield while beating Wyalusing (396), Canton (418) and Sayre (595).
Danny Smith shot an 88 (44/44) with five pars on the day to lead the Indians, while Ashton Burdick had a 94, Laila Hackett shot a 98, Brent Watkins and Nate Askins each had a 107 and Luke Hamilton had a 120.
CV will be back in action Thursday at River Valley in Westfield.
