NTL GOLF: COWANESQUE VALLEY FINISHES 5TH AT RIVER VALLEY (2025-08-14)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportWESTFIELD — Cowanesque Valley finished 5th for the second straight league match at their hosted event at River Valley on Thursday, led by Danny Smith finishing tied for 7th place.
The Indians shot 371, behind match winner Towanda (305), Athens (331), North Penn-Mansfield (352) and Wellsboro (356) and ahead of Wyalusing (375), Canton (400) and Sayre (541).
Smith led the way for CV, carding an 80 with a birdie and nine pars to finish tied for 7th overall.
Lucas Hamilton shot a 93, Brent Watkins had a 95, Ashton Burdick had a 103, Laila Hackett shot a 106 and Nate Askins had a 107.
Cowanesque Valley now stands at 6-8 on the season and returns to action Monday at Wellsboro’s Tyoga Country Club.
