NTL GOLF: WELLSBORO PLACES 4TH AT SECOND LEAGUE MATCH (2025-08-14)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportWESTFIELD — The Wellsboro golf team placed fourth at the NTL’s second league match of the season Thursday at River Valley Country Club.
The Hornets shot a 356, behind match winner Towanda (305), Athens (331) and North Penn-Mansfield (352) and ahead of Cowanesque Valley (371), Wyalusing (375), Canton (400) and Sayre (541).
Mason Brill led the Hornets with an 83 while Syler Pietrzyk had an 86, Kiernan Whitsell shot a 93, Logan Johnson had a 94, Sam Jackson had a 97 and Ben Jackson had a 99.
The Hornets, now 10-4 on the season, will host Monday’s league match at Tyoga CC.
