NTL VOLLEYBALL: WELLSBORO EARNS SEASON OPENING SWEEP OF CANTON (2025-08-26)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportCANTON — The Lady Hornets started their District 4 title defense at Canton on Tuesday, sweeping the host Lady Warriors 3-0.
The Hornets won the three sets 25-21, 25-9 and 25-13.
Ellie Largey had 22 assists and 12 service points with two aces while Blake Eckart had eight kills and four digs, Ady Frantz had nine kills, Peyton Keane had six kills, Kendall Sweet had 16 points with four aces, five kills and a block and Maddy Cruttenden had six digs.
The Wellsboro JV team won 2-1 .. 25-7, 18-25 and 15-3.
The Lady Hornets (1-0) are scheduled to visit Sayre on Thursday.
