NTL BOYS SOCCER: WELLSBORO EARNS LEAGUE WIN AT GALETON (2025-08-27)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportGALETON — Senior David Seeling scored a hat trick to help Wellsboro to a 5-1 win over Galeton in NTL boys soccer action Wednesday.
Seeling scored five minutes into the contest off an assist from sophomore Gabe Cuneo. Galeton answered back seven minutes later with their lone goal of the evening to tie things up at 1-all, but the Hornets went on a 4-0 run to close out the game and secure the win.
With 21:05 remaining in the first half, Seeling scored for the second time to put the Hornets up 2-1. In the second half senior Jonathan Carl scored back-to-back goals, the second assisted by Seeling to put Wellsboro up 4-1.
Seeling completed his hat trick with 17:42 remaining in the game on an unassisted goal.
Wellsboro out-shot Galeton 11-6 and had a 10-2 advantage in corner kicks.
Senior Camden Tom and junior Kayden Rogers combined for four saves in goal for the Hornets.
Wellsboro (2-0, 1-0 NTL) travels to South Williamsport for a non-league game Saturday.
