HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS SOCCER: WILLIAMSON SUFFERS LOPSIDED LOSS TO SELINSGROVE (2025-08-30)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportTIOGA JUNCTION — Williamson struggled to keep up with Selinsgrove, last year’s District 4 Class 3A runner-up, falling 11-1 to the Lady Seals in a non-league girls soccer match-up here Saturday.
Addy Lanzo scored Williamson’s goal, connecting on a penalty kick in the second half.
Selinsgrove outshot the Lady Warriors 46-11 and had a 7-2 advantage in corner kicks.
Williamson used three different goalies .. Lanzo saved 14 shots while allowing five goals in the first half of play, Leeann Kessing played 22 minutes in net in the second half and had four saves while allowing four scores and Holly Peers played the final 18 minutes in goal for the Warriors and gave up two goals with three saves.
Williamson (1-2) will return to their league schedule next Saturday when they visit Wellsboro.
