After a scoreless first half of play, Wellsboro wasted little time taking the lead out of the break as Haylie Smith scored off a Kate Bryant assist just three minutes into the second. Two and a half minutes later Luna Moyer scored to provide the 2-0 final. 

The Hornets had an 11-3 advantage in shots-on-goal and a 9-3 edge in corner kicks, while Wellsboro keeper Jadyn Dunlap extended her clean sheet streak to three games by saving all three shots she faced. 

Wellsboro (3-0) is scheduled to return to play on Wednesday when they host Troy.
