NTL BOYS SOCCER: NORTH PENN-LIBERTY EARNS SECOND WIN OVER GALETON (2025-09-02)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportGALETON — The North Penn-Liberty boys soccer team beat Galeton for the second time this season, topping the host Tigers 3-1 on Tuesday.
Galeton scored a first half goal and led 1-0 at the break.
David Graf scored off a Brody Grinnell assist to tie it up at the 16:16 mark of the second half, Bryce Kent gave the Mounties the lead with a goal, again on an assist by Grinnell, two minutes later and Kai Wheeland added an insurance goal off an assist from Silas Boiywo with eight minutes left in the game.
Galeton out shot NPL 7-5 as keeper Deakon Valentine had seven saves for the Mounties and Liberty held a 7-2 advantage in corner kicks.
North Penn-Liberty (3-1) is scheduled to return to action Thursday when they host Wellsboro.
