NTL BOYS SOCCER: HORNETS TOP WILLIAMSON ON PAIR OF SEELING GOALS (2025-09-09)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportTIOGA JUNCTION — David Seeling returned to the Wellsboro lineup and scored both goals as the Hornets shut out the host Williamson Warriors, 2-0.
Seeling missed a pair of games for Wellsboro and in his return, opened the scoring with an unassisted goal with less than a minute remaining in the first half of play. The senior added an insurance goal with 5:33 left in the match, again unassisted, to seal the Hornet win.
“It wasn’t a pretty game,” Wellsboro Head Coach Todd Fitch said after the win, “but the boys found a way to win. Sometimes you’re just thankful to come away with the result and no new injuries.”
Williamson out-shot Wellsboro 7-3 and both squads had six corner kicks.
Hornet keeper Camden Tom had seven saves to earn the clean sheet while Braydin Baker had one stop in goal for the Warriors.
Wellsboro (5-2) is scheduled to host Troy on Thursday while Williamson (5-2) hosts Galeton, also on Thursday.
