NTL GIRLS SOCCER: LADY TIGERS EARN CLEAN SHEET WIN OVER WILLIAMSON (2025-09-27)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportMANSFIELD — North Penn-Mansfield earned their 4th win of the season and their 2nd over Williamson here Saturday, blanking the Warriors 3-0 in NTL girls soccer play.
Brooke Wilcox scored the first of her two goals at the 24:34 mark of the first half, on an assist from Molly Hanawalt, and the Lady Tigers held a 1-0 lead over Williamson at the break.
Scarlett Graham gave NPM a 2-0 lead with a goal at the 65:27 mark of the second half off a Lakyn Messner helper and Wilcox tacked on a score off Colette Frey’s assist with three seconds left in the game to provide the final.
North Penn-Mansfield keeper Avalon Rew saved all 12 Williamson shots she faced for the clean sheet, while Williamson goalie Leann Kessing had one save on four Lady Tigers’ shots-on-goal.
“Williamson put the pressure on our defense,” said NP-Mansfield Head Coach Maryann Wilcox following the win, “but our defense did a fantastic job keeping the ball out of our goal.
It was really good to see the freshmen getting on the scoreboard .. Scarlett Graham scored her first varsity goal and Colette Frey had her first varsity assist. Great team win tonight!”
North Penn-Mansfield (4-6) is scheduled to host CMVT on Monday while Williamson (6-8) hosts Towanda on Saturday.
