NTL CROSS COUNTRY: LADY HORNETS SWEEP QUAD-MEET, BOYS GO 1-2 (2025-09-30)

WESTFIELD — The Wellsboro girls cross country team went 3-0 at a quad meet hosted by Cowanesque Valley with North Penn-Mansfield and Northeast Bradford Tuesday while the boys went 1-2.

The Lady Hornets beat the host Lady Indians 27-29, North Penn-Mansfield 22-36 and NEB 24-33.

Junior Lauren Kosek (21:08) finished 1st overall while freshman Kaci Kosek (24:07) was 8th, senior Sophia Yoder (25:35) was 10th, sophomore Molly Tice (27:11) was 11th, sophomore Luisa Crocco (28:24) was 13th and sophomore Anja Przbycien (30:55) was 15th.

On the boys’ side, the Hornets beat CV 23-33 and lost 19-36 to NP-Mansfield and 15-45 to NEB.

Seniors Henry Whitney (20:22) and Max Macias (20:23) were 11th and 12th for Wellsboro while senior Ethan Geneski (21:20) was 15th, senior Henry Nowak (21:25) was 17th, freshman Taitt Webster (22:23) was 19th, freshman Jesse Spicer (23:31) was 22nd, freshman Austin DeShazo (25:16) was 26th and sophomore Jack Hammerton (25:21) was 27th.
