NTL BOYS SOCCER: WELLSBORO TOPS GALETON 4-1 (2025-10-01)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportWELLSBORO — The Hornets had four different players score in a 4-1 win over Galeton in NTL boys’ soccer action here Wednesday.
David Seeling opened the scoring with a goal off a Gabe Cuneo assist less than two minutes into the game and Jacob Smith scored unassisted at the 30:27 mark of the first half to give the Hornets a 2-0 lead at the break.
Midway through the second half Jonathan Carl took a Smith pass and scored for a 3-0 lead before Galeton found the net off a goalie deflection for their lone score of the game. Peter Doan provided the final score with a goal with 10 minutes remaining off a Jude Cuneo helper.
Wellsboro out shot Galeton 12-4 and had an 11-1 advantage in corner kicks while Tom recorded three saves in net for the win.
Wellsboro (10-3-1) is scheduled to return to play on Tuesday when they host Northeast Bradford.
