NTL BOYS SOCCER: HORNETS FALL 2-1 ON LATE NORTHEAST BRADFORD GOAL (2025-10-07)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportWELLSBORO — The Hornets gave up a goal with 27 seconds left and fell to Northeast Bradford 2-1 in NTL boys’ soccer play here Wednesday.
After a scoreless first half, Mason Brill gave Wellsboro a 1-0 lead five minutes into the second half with a score off a David Seeling assist.
NEB tied the match at 1-all near the midpoint of the half and with 27 seconds left, hit the game-winner.
The Hornets out shot NEB 15-6 while keeper Camden Tom made four saves in goal for Wellsboro.
“We had 13 more shots on goal and increased our corner kicks by 6 compared to the first time we played,” said Wellsboro Head Coach Todd Fitch, “We also reduced their opportunities at goal. They’re a good team and at the end of the game we didn’t have the one stat we really wanted.”
Wellsboro, now 10-4-1 on the season, return to play on Thursday when they host Williamson.
