The Trojans opened the night’s scoring with a 23-yard TD run and extra point kick to take a 7-0 lead with nine minutes remaining in the first quarter before the Panthers surprised Troy with a trick play that saw All-State receiver Luke Kreger throw a 78-yard TD pass to Colton Pellett. Brody Grinnell hit the extra point kick and North Penn-Mansfield was tied 7-7 with the State champions with 7:27 left in the opening frame. 

It would be mostly Troy the rest of the way, however, as the Trojans added touchdown runs of 12 and 43 yards in the first quarter, a 10-yard TD pass just six seconds into the second, a 25-yard field goal and a 1-yard TD run to take a 38-7 lead into the halftime break. 

Grinnell would hit a 35-yard field goal three minutes into the second half to cut the Troy lead to 38-10, but Troy added three touchdowns and a pair of extra points to provide the 58-10 final.

North Penn-Mansfield, now 4-4 on the season with their fourth straight loss, will look to rebound at Cowanesque Valley next Saturday.
