HIGH SCHOOL BOYS SOCCER: HORNETS SETTLE FOR SCORELESS DRAW WITH LOYALSOCK IN FINAL REGULAR SEASON MATCH (2025-10-14) Northern Tier West Sports Report WELLSBORO — The Hornets played 100 minutes of soccer against Loyalsock in their final regular season match here Tuesday evening with neither team being able to find the net, settling for a 0-0 tie.
The visiting Lancers out shot Wellsboro 8-7 with Hornet keeper Camden Tom recording a clean sheet with seven saves in goal. Loyalsock had an 11-3 advantage in corner kicks.
“I continue to be pleased with the boys effort to execute the tactics we’re asking of them,” said Hornets’ Head Coach Todd Fitch following the draw, “I’m hopeful we can use the time before the post season to fine tune some areas.”
Wellsboro finishes their regular season with a record of 11-5-2 and sit fifth in the District 4 Class 2A playoff standings.
