NTL VOLLEYBALL: WELLSBORO RALLIES FOR 3-1 WIN OVER WILLIAMSON (2025-10-14) Northern Tier West Sports Report WELLSBORO — Williamson took the first set from Wellsboro before the Lady Hornets rolled to a 3-1 win over the Lady Warriors in an NTL crossover volleyball match-up here Tuesday.
Williamson edged the Hornets 25-23 in the first set and Wellsboro answered by taking the next three .. 25-16, 25-10 and 25-2.
Maddy Cruttenden served up 25 points with six aces on the night, adding 17 digs and two assists, while Blake Eckart had 14 kills and Ady Frantz had 13 kills and three and a half blocks.
Taylor Main had 18 assists .. and was recognized prior to the match with having dished out her 500th career assist in the Hornets’ previous game .. and added 10 digs, Ellie Largey had 13 assists, Peyton Keane had 11 points with six aces and six kills and Jill Mickey had 11 digs.
For Williamson, Raegan VanGorden had 17 assists, two kills and six service points with three aces, Abby Gehman had eight kills and six digs, Olivia Nolan had 16 digs and four kills and Bailey Snyder had 16 digs.
Wellsboro improves to 15-2 on the season with the win. They’ll visit Troy (13-2) on Thursday. The Lady Hornets beat Troy 3-1 in their previous game.
Williamson drops to 11-3 and visits Northeast Bradford (1-12) on Thursday.
