The Lady Tigers fell behind 1-0 on a NEB goal midway through the first half before tying it up at the 34:11 mark on an Adalyne Yungwirth goal off a Brooke Wilcox assist.

Wilcox would hit the eventual game-winner a minute and a half later off an Abby Garverick helper and Mansfield held on through the second half to eke out the win. 

The Tigers out shot NEB 10-7 while keeper Avalon Rew made six saves in net for North Penn-Mansfield. 

For Wilcox, today’s goal adds to the senior’s season record of 39 and her career record of 65 goals scored, with at least one more game to play.

While past records are hard to find, the Tigers haven’t had a winning record before this season in at least the past 12 and their nine wins matches their total victories over the past six years combined .. which includes a 5-12-1 mark in 2019, one-win seasons in ’20 and ’22 through ’24 and a winless 2021.

With a final regular season record of 9-8-1, the Lady Tigers are the 11th and final team into the District 4 Class 2A playoffs.
