NTL GIRLS SOCCER: WELLSBORO FALLS TO NO. 2 SEED HUGHESVILLE IN D4 QUARTERFINALS (2025-10-23)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportLOYALSOCK, Pa. — The Wellsboro girls’ soccer team surrendered five first half goals to second-seeded Hughesville and fell 5-0 in the District 4 AA quarterfinals here Thursday night.
“Tonight we fell 5-0 to an amazing Hughesville team,” said Wellsboro Head Coach Michael Reese following the season-ending loss, “The score doesn’t tell the story of how far this group has come. The end of the season is never easy, but it means more when you know every player gave everything they had.”
The Lady Hornets were out shot 17-1 and Hughesville had an 11-0 advantage in corner kicks.
Keeper Jadyn Dunlap made 12 saves in goal for Wellsboro, who finishes the season 11-8-1.
