NTL VOLLEYBALL: WELLSBORO FALLS TO LOYALSOCK IN DISTRICT 4 SEMIS (2025-10-28) Northern Tier West Sports Report ATHENS — The Wellsboro volleyball team’s bid to repeat as District champs was derailed here Tuesday, as the second-seeded Lady Hornets fell to No. 3 seed Loyalsock, 3-2.
Wellsboro won the first set 25-19 before the Lady Lancers took the next two .. 25-23 and 25-20. The Hornets rolled to a 25-15 win in the fourth set and were a point away from advancing with a 14-12 lead in the fifth, but Loyalsock pulled off the upset by scoring four straight points to earn the win.
Peyton Keane had 19 service points with seven aces, 10 kills and nine digs, while Ady Frantz had 11 kills and four blocks.
Ellie Largey had 13 assists and nine points, Blake Eckart had eight digs and four kills, Kendall Sweet had 10 points with eight aces and Paige Rush had 12 assists.
Wellsboro finishes their 2025 season with a record of 17-5.
