HIGH SCHOOL BOYS BASKETBALL: MOUNTIES DROP MONTGOMERY TOURNEY FINAL TO NORTHEAST BRADFORD (December 6, 2025)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportMONTGOMERY — North Penn-Liberty faced NTL-foe Northeast Bradford in the Montgomery boys basketball tournament Saturday and fell to the Panthers, 48-43.
The Mounties jumped out to a 12-10 first quarter lead behind six Luke Kreger points and took a 20-18 lead into the halftime break.
A 20-11 NEB third quarter gave the Panthers the 38-31 lead before the Mounties closed out the loss with a 12-10 final frame.
Kreger led NPL with 21 points and added five rebounds and three steals, while Brody Grinnell had eight points and two assists.
Evan McTish, Landon Mattern and Conner Lewis each had four points and Sudan Benner chipped in with two points.
NEB went 7-of-14 from the free throw line while the Mounties never got to the line.
Liberty (1-1) is scheduled to return to play on Thursday when they host North Penn-Mansfield.
