HIGH SCHOOL BOYS BASKETBALL: WILLIAMSON SUFFERS MERCY-RULE LOSS TO ATHENS (December 8, 2025)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportATHENS — Williamson was held scoreless in the fourth quarter and fell to the host Athens Wildcats 60-19 in NTL boys’ basketball action here Monday night.
Athens jumped out to a 24-5 lead after one, took a 39-15 lead into the halftime break, went up 50-19 in the third quarter and had a 10-0 final frame.
Jacob Brown led Williamson with nine points while Owen Cilino and Maddox Hartman had three points each and AJ Hargarther and Kaiden Moon each had two points.
Williamson (1-2) returns to play on Saturday when they host Northern Potter.
