HIGH SCHOOL BOYS BASKETBALL: CV ROUTS AUSTIN FOR FIRST WIN (December 15, 2025)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportWESTFIELD — Cowanesque Valley had 10 players score as they routed visiting Austin 64-25 for their first win of the season in a non-league match-up here Monday.
The Indians took a 23-11 first quarter lead and outscored Austin 16-7 in the second frame to take a 39-18 lead at the half. After blanking Austin in the third quarter and scoring nine points, CV finished the win with a 16-7 final quarter.
Levi Stahli and Joshua Teague each had 11 points to lead the Indians, while Parker Lee and Ashtyn Burdick each had nine points and Reed Vargeson had eight points. Teague added six rebounds and four steals while Burdick had eight boards.
Carsyn Kemp had five points, Justin Mack had four points, Jacob Johnson had three points and Trevor Hollenbach and Danny Smith each had two points for CV.
Cowanesque Valley (1-2) is at North Penn-Mansfield on Tuesday.
