HIGH SCHOOL WRESTLING: PEQUIGNOT LEADS NORTH PENN-LIBERTY WITH RUNNER-UP FINISH AT TURNER HOLIDAY CLASSIC (December 28, 2025)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportLANCASTER — Junior Bryce Pequignot placed 2nd in his 121-pound weight class to lead the North Penn-Liberty wrestling team at the Turner Holiday Classic.
Pequignot opened the tourney with a 20-2 tech fall over Penn Manor’s Carter Reyes, earned a 22-6 tech fall over Pittston Area’s Tibor Toth and major decisioned Brock Glover from Jesuit (FL) 15-4 to reach the 121-pound semifinals. There, Pequignot beat Delaware Military Academy’s Cole Perrin 8-5.
In the final, Pequignot was edged 5-4 by Central Dauphin senior Thunder Beard (18-0), the PIAA 4th-place finisher at 114 pounds last season.
Other Mounties competing at the Turner Classic included Jonah Neill, who went 1-2 at 133 pounds and Charles Aumick (114), Hoyt Pequignot (127) and Terrell Rinebold (172), who each went 0-2.
