HIGH SCHOOL BOYS BASKETBALL: NP-MANSFIELD TOPPED BY CORNING AT JOSH PALMER FUND TOURNEY (December 28, 2025)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportELMIRA — The North Penn-Mansfield boys’ basketball team played their first-round game of the Josh Palmer Fund Tournament on Sunday, falling 84-42 to Corning-Painted Post.
Corning jumped out to a 32-6 lead after the first quarter and cruised to a 49-18 lead at the break and held a 60-31 advantage after three quarters.
Andy Hermansen led the Tigers with 16 points and added eight rebounds and three steals. Jason Harer had eight points, seven rebounds and five assists and Patrick Youmans had seven points and six rebounds.
Collin Oakes had six points, Kevin Clemente-Vazquez had three points and Bryce Route had two points.
NPM (3-3) will face Elmira Notre Dame in Monday’s consolation game.
