HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS BASKETBALL: NP-MANSFIELD FALLS TO NON-LEAGUE MUNCY (January 3, 2026)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportMUNCY — A 13-6 third quarter advantage for the host Lady Indians would be the difference in North Penn-Mansfield’s 45-38 loss to Muncy here Saturday.
The Lady Tigers led 13-10 after a quarter of play and Muncy’s 13-10 second frame left the game tied at 23-all at the halftime break.
After Muncy went up 36-29 after the third quarter, the teams played to a 9-9 draw in the final frame to provide the final.
Kameron Lightner led NP-Mansfield with a double-double of 11 points and 19 rebounds in the loss.
Maddie McNamara had nine points and five assists while Julia Kaczynski had five points and five rebounds. Elaina Shaw had four points and seven boards, Avalon Rew had four points, Emmi Route had three points and Addi Lehman rounded out the Tigers’ scoring with two points.
NP-Mansfield (3-3) returns to play on Monday when they host North Penn-Liberty.
