NTL GIRLS BASKETBALL: LADY HORNETS TOPPED BY TOWANDA (January 9, 2026)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportWELLSBORO — The Lady Hornets hosted Towanda for an NTL girls’ basketball match-up here Friday night and fell 49-12 to the Lady Black Knights.
Towanda took leads of 7-0 after the first quarter, 26-4 at halftime and 42-7 after three quarters of play on their way to the lopsided win.
Kate Bryant scored seven points for Wellsboro while Ady Frantz scored five points.
Wellsboro (3-7) is scheduled to return to play on Monday at Port Allegany.
