HIGH SCHOOL WRESTLING: NICKERSON MAKES PODIUM FOR MOUNTIES AT MID-WINTER MAYHEM (January 10, 2026)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportINDIANA, PA — North Penn-Liberty sophomore Bodhi Nickerson reached the podium at the Mid-Winter Mayhem Wrestling Tournament at IUP on Saturday, placing 7th in the 107 pound weight class.
Nickerson earned three wins on his way to the quarterfinals with a tech fall, a pin and a 9-1 major decision. He fell by fall to Chestnut Ridge freshman Kooper Deputy, the undefeated eventual tourney champ, then earned a 17-5 major over Montgomery’s Manny Stoltzfus.
After a 3-1 loss put Nickerson in the 7th/8th place match, the sophomore ran his season record to 17-6 with a 4-3 win.
Junior Bryce Pequignot also competed, winning his first match with an 18-1 tech fall and then falling 14-2 to knock him into the 121-pound consolation bracket.
Pequignot won his first two consi matches .. 9-6 and 4-2 .. before facing and falling to Tussey Mountain senior Dakota Santamaria, a two-time State medalist and Kutztown commit.
