Northern Tier West Sports ReportTIOGA COUNTY — The Northern Tier West Sports Report ‘Athletes of the Week’, brought to you by Laurel Health, are North Penn-Mansfield’s Jason Harer and Kameron Lightner.
Senior Jason Harer led the Tigers to 3-0 week with a triple-double and a pair of double-doubles.
In Mansfield’s 46-44 win over Athens, Harer had 23 points and 10 rebounds. His triple-double of 22 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists led NPM to a 52-48 win over Wyalusing, and the Tigers finished the week off with a 52-37 win over North Penn-Liberty where Harer finished with a game-high 21 points and completed the double-double with 11 boards.
Senior Kam Lightner helped the Lady Tigers to a 56-53 overtime win over North Penn-Liberty with a double-double of 16 points and 15 rebounds to start the week.
In a 44-34 loss to Athens, Lightner had another double-double, with 14 points and 18 rebounds and in NPM’s 52-44 loss to Wyalusing, the senior had six points and nine boards.
Mansfield won another tight game to end the week, edging Northern Potter 55-54, and needed every one of Lightner;s 27 points and 16 boards to get the win.
