Northern Tier West Sports ReportGALETON — Williamson avenged a season-opening loss to Galeton here Monday, beating the non-league Tigers 57-44 for their third win of the season.
Galeton had topped the Warriors 41-13 at the Tigers’ tipoff tournament, while Williamson took a 16-7 lead after the first quarter of play on Monday.
Williamson used a 14-12 second frame to take a 30-19 halftime lead and went up 47-22 after a 17-3 third quarter advantage.
Maddox Hartman led the Warriors with 23 points, while Kayden Moon had eight points, Uriah Davis had seven, Alex Watson scored six points, AJ Hargarther and Shae Davis had four points each and Ayden Silvernail had three points.
Williamson (3-11) is scheduled to host Wyalusing on Wednesday.
